going ggggaggaa

This video is making the rounds. It brought a little lift
to another rainy chilly day. Only a few days left to join
in my poetry giveaway. Come on, add your name, you
know you want to!

Yearning

On a rainy, blah blah day, it was a treat to discover the work
of artist Kate Clark at the Aldrich Museum. Her strange
and wonderful sculptures caught me the instant
I walked into the space. Oh this would be the kind of art
that could work perfectly on the cover
of a book -- one day in the distant
future--my book!

felice navidad

There's a certain Slant of light,
Winter Afternoons--
That oppresses, like the Heft
of Cathedral Tunes--

Heavenly Hurt, it gives us--
We can find no scar,
But internal difference,
Where the Meanings, are--

None may teach it--Any--
Tis the Seal Despair--
An imperial affliction
Sent us of the Air--

When it comes, the Landcape listens--
Shadows --hold their breath--
When it goes, 'tis like the Distance
on the Look of Death--

-- Emily Dickinson
